We are one of three fire companies which comprise the Bangor Fire Department located in Bangor, Pennsylvania. The other two stations are Rescue Fire Company and Second Ward Fire Company. We are located at 67 North 8th Street in Bangor and have been for over 100 years
.

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Firefighter Jeff Pritchard. Jeff made his last call on Sunday November 19th, 2023, when he was laid to rest. Jeff passed away Tuesday November 14th, 2023, at his residence.

This past Saturday October 28th 2023 Liberty Fire Company #2 held their Banquet at Allegheny Creek Brewing Company in Mt. Bethel. The banquet allows the members & their significant others to come together and enjoy each other company & a delicious meal.

On Sunday August 27th, 2023, members of the Bangor Fire Department finalized their RIT training at Monroe County Fire School. The members were given different scenarios of a firefighting trapped, lost or down.

On Monday March 13, 2023, the Bangor Fire Department conducted a RIT drill at Rescue’s station. The members practiced setting up RIT. The members practiced different types of drags of a down firefighter.

At approximately 12:40pm on Friday September 15th, 2023, the call came in for a High Occupancy Structure Fire at 24 Broadway in Bangor. Flames could be seen from the rear of the building as black smoke filled the sky.

At approximately 8:05 am on the morning of March 14th, 2022, the Bangor Fire Department was dispatched with Washington Township Fire Company for a full involved commercial structure fire at the 512 Plaza Strip Mall.The fire destroyed the entire strip mall.
In the early morning hours of January 29th, 2022, the Bangor Fire Department was dispatched with Columbia Fire Company for a High Occupancy Structure Fire in Roseto Pa. Northampton County 911 center indicated nine (9) apartments total in the building.

On Tuesday March 30th, 2021 at approximately 10:43 am the Bangor Fire Department with Roseto Fire Company was dispatched to a work garage fire on Lincoln Avenue in Roseto. Per police on scene, smoke coming from the second floor.
